Mementos of Spicewood: No. 5

$295.00

Behind the Art

Mementos of Spicewood is an ongoing study woven from upcycled graphic canvas work spanning past years in the studio. What began as an intention to create a single framed work evolved into a continuous dialogue—exploring the space between structure and collapse, constraint and freedom.

Each piece serves as a physical reflection of growth, transforming discarded canvas strips into an evolving, tactile form.

No. 5 - this weave opens back up into five vertical columns. White graphic arcs and rich blue accents ripple down each strand, letting the canvas unspool into a looser rhythm.

Specifications

  • Medium: Hand-woven up-cycled painted canvas strips mounted on archival backer

  • Framing: Custom natural wood shadowbox frame

  • Dimensions: 8" x 10" wood framed behind glass

  • Edition: Unique 1-of-1 work within a 4-part series

  • Signed and dated on reverse.

Additional Details

Because this piece is hand-cut from a larger, original physical canvas, it represents a completely unrepeatable moment. The exact brushstrokes, paint layers, and textures belong solely to this individual fragment—making it a true one-of-a-kind.

Collector's Package To celebrate its unique history, your artwork arrives with:

  • A registered Certificate of Authenticity detailing its origin in the Orange Street studio.

  • A personalized, hand-written note from the artist.
